#PlanetPartners: working with global partners to protect the environment 

  • Professor Christopher Scott (Meteorology) was interviewed by BBC World News, BBC News Channel, and BBC Radio Berkshire on what the northern lights are. 
  • Professor Mathew Owens (Meteorology) is quoted by ,  (Netherlands),  (India), , , , , and  on why we are entering a period of increased solar activity.
  • Greatest Hits Radio, BBC Radio Berkshire, and  report that the University is working with Reading Borough Council and other local partners to create an interactive education programme about air pollution which will be implemented in primary and secondary schools across Reading. Professor Hong Yang (Geography) is leading the project from the University and is quoted on the project's aims. Marta O'Brien (air quality researcher) is also involved in the project. .
  • Western Daily Press (in print) reports on the University's part in leading a European-wide project which aims to show farmers how they can boost food production and achieve net zero within a decade by adopting agroforestry.
