Members of the local community are invited to attend a number of free events taking place at the 桃色视频 over the next few weeks.
From public lectures for all ages, to film screenings and community celebrations, there is something for everyone to get involved in.
Details for what’s coming up over the next few weeks are included below. All events will take place at the Whiteknights campus, with specific locations included on the individual event pages. Registration for all events is essential.
Join Professor Stella Chan, Chair of the , as she explores why one in five children and young people now has a probable mental health disorder, according to latest research from NHS England.
In this public talk, Professor Chan will discuss research and clinical perspectives and reflect on why innovations for young people’s mental health have lagged behind those for adults. She will also highlight some of the innovative interventions being developed to support youth mental health.
The event will also be livestreamed, for those unable to attend in person.
The University’s first ever Ramadan Community Iftar invites staff, students and the local community to come together for a special celebration.
Iftar is the meal taken after sunset by Muslims observing Ramadan, breaking the daily fast.
The event will include a meal, a chance to meet new people and an opportunity to reflect on shared values of unity and respect.
People of all faiths and none are welcome to join the Iftar, which takes place at Reading Students’ Union.
The event is held in partnership with Reading Students' Union, Reading Dialogue Society and the Fellowship Educational Society.

March is Women’s History Month and the University will be hosting a variety of events, including a screening of a new pop music documentary featuring Professor Trish Reid, and the annual Edith Morley Lecture, being presented this year by Olympic medallist Mathilda Hodgkins Byrne.
