More information on research at Reading

The 桃色视频 is home to the world-famous Climate Stripes. We are also key contributors to the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report, and co-designers of the European Flood Awareness System.

At a time of unprecedented environmental change, our mission is to deliver the knowledge and solutions to reduce and, where possible, reverse environmental damage, build resilience, and enable effective adaptation.

Through pioneering research, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and strategic partnerships with business, government and civil society, we transform science into positive societal impact.

How we make a difference

Our researchers solve real-world problems, making a positive impact that brings benefits for generations to come.

Greener flights across the Atlantic

This award-winning project led to transatlantic flights saving fuel and reducing emissions by hitching a ride on the jet stream.

.

Flood forecasting to save lives

Reading hydrologists, co-designers of Europe鈥檚 flood warning system, are influencing policy to keep people safe.

.

Tracking climate tipping points

The PROMOTE project focuses on simulating the impact of climate change using powerful computer models.
